4 Generations of SAE Students at the Cannes Film Festival
Even Le Monde can't define it, calling it at once 'commercial
showcase, global media forum, and champion of artistic
confrontation.' This year, four generations of SAE film making students travelled to the Festival de Cannes, writing articles as
well as coursework, interviewing A-list filmmakers that were shunning the worldwide press (yes, Spike Lee) and shooting a short film right then and there after successfully pitching in the Facebook-sponsored Theauteurs.com competition. And, of course, SAE alumni invaded the Palais du Festival hunting for partners to join their next projects.
As one of the students commented: "My ten days in Cannes turned out
to be one of the most significant experiences of my life"
