Liverpool voted most musical city in England

Liverpool has surged to victory in Arts Council England's 'Take it away' search to find the UK's Most Musical City.

Liverpool beat ten cities to be named the most musical city in England in an Art Council on-line poll.

Liverpool Culture Company music manager Gordon Ross said: "The city today has a phenomenal pool of talent."
