Progression Degrees
BA (Hons) Multimedia Arts (progression from SAE Creative Media/Multimedia/Web Design + Development Diploma) (Course Code: BMA)
BA (Hons) Film Making (progression from SAE Digital Film Making Diploma) (Course Code: BFA)
BA (Hons) Recording Arts (progression from SAE Audio Engineering Diploma) (Course Code: BRA)
These are all 12 months (48 Study Weeks) in duration.
From March 2008, all Progression Degree Students will be expected to have already the required Apple MacBook from either their Diploma studies at SAE London or another SAE - or they will need to pay extra for the Tuition to cover the price of the Apple MacBook.
Entry is based upon passing the SAE Diploma with a high final grade. Applicants from outside the SAE College Network are very welcome to apply for one of our Progression Degrees, based on having obtained a HND or similar level of qualification in a comparable programme. Please submit full details of qualification and subjects covered with any application for assessment. Potential applicants should contact SAE London (degree@saeuk.com) if they are unsure if they are eligible for entry to our Progression Degree. We also require our Progression Degree Students to have completed a Written Assignment (in German: Facharbeit) in English. If they did not write one during their Diploma Studies they will have to submit one, in English, to SAE London for assessment as a condition of acceptance.
We do require all our Progression Degree Students to have proficiency in the English language. Potential applicants should forward details of qualification such as:
• An IELTS Academic test (band 6 or above);
• A TOEFL test with an overall grade of 550 or above (paper-based);
• A TOEFL test with an overall grade of 213 or above (computer-based).
We have intakes every year at the following times:
Recording Arts: end of April & end of October
Film Making: beginning of January & beginning of August
Multimedia Arts: beginning of January & beginning of August
As the Progression Degrees fill up very quickly (with most students enrolling for the entire 2-Year Degree Programme in advance (Diploma + Degree)) – we recommend applying for a ‘Conditional Enrolment’ whilst still studying the Diploma.
Applicants should submit an Application with a transcript of their Diploma Studies (or if not yet completed, a Confirmation Letter from their current SAE College)
Applicants from outside SAE, who are interested in applying for the Progression Degree, should submit as much information as possible on their educational and industry experience for assessment.
