08/5/08 - Sound engineer Adrian Hall presented a guest lecture
Adrian Hall is a successful engineer, producer and mixer who graduated from SAE London years ago. His credits include Alicia Keys, Sugababes, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira, Britney Spears, Simply Red, Emma Bunton, Cliff Richard, Slipknot, Marc Almond and Pet Shop Boys. He talked SAE London students through a mix to a great level of detail, using an actual example. Students appreciated this look behind the scenes coming directly from an industry professional. Adrian commented afterwards: "I really enjoyed the lecture, the students seemed really receptive."
14/3/08 - New premises 2008
SAE London has announced its move this year to brand new premises. Over 7 levels the new SAE London will be most modern and amazing place to learn audio engineering and film making.
Please see our preview of the new SAE London facilities to be opened in the second half of 2008.
The new location will be in Kingsland Road, not far away from where the Olympic Games 2012 will take place.
11/3/08 - Filmmaking guest lecture
SAE London students had the opportunity to experience a guest lecture by Filmmaker Anthony Q. Artis, whose features and shows have been screened at the Tribeca Film Festival, the IFP Feature Market, Slamdance and MTV. During the lecture He presented his last book “The shut up and shoot documentary guide” and explained his very own production techniques with emphasis on resources managing, crew selection and equipment choice. Students enjoyed the alternative point of view on Filmmaking provided by Anthony Q Artis.
04/3/08 - First Music Business industry guest lecture
SAE's new Music Business course, which commenced in February has now had its first industry guest lecture. Xfm's Marsha Shandur visited the class to talk about her experience in radio and as an artist manager as well as her upcoming career plans and insight into the music industry. She also gave the students a great deal of useful advice concerning choosing an artist and starting out in the music business.
