SAE International Graduate College - Postgraduate Qualifications
Information for Prospective Students
This page provides basic information about the SAE International Graduate College and its programmes.
Please note that IGC programmes are NOT delivered via individual branches of the SAE international
network. For more detailed information, please visit the IGC website at: www.saegraduatecollege.com.
About the IGC
The IGC is a branch of SAE which specialises in the delivery and administration of postgraduate degree programmes. It is an 'umbrella organisation' that brings together the educational expertise of a number of partner institutions around the world. Our focus is on 'blended learning' with online delivery and
support. Our underlying aim is to bring to you, the student, a high degree of flexible learning combined with academic rigour and professional relevance.
The Advantages of Study With the IGC
SAE has a global presence that is rivalled by no other education provider in the creative media sector.
The IGC is able to utilise this global presence and provide educational advantages that are not available
via more traditional distance learning means.
Benefits available to students who study with the SAE IGC include:
• Flexible delivery and scheduling designed to cater for people with busy lives.
• The IGC reaches out to its students rather than expecting you to come to us. For the majority
of programs, no attendance at an IGC centre is necessary and, even where it is, it is kept to an
absolute minimum.
• You can be anywhere while you are studying, provided you have access to the internet.
• All IGC programs are professionally relevant. They are designed in direct consultation with industry
and encourage industry participation during, not after, study.
• Because of our affiliation with leading universities and other tertiary educational bodies around
the world, the qualification you receive through the IGC is internationally recognised and opens
pathways to higher levels of study later on, including doctorates.
• During your time as a student with the IGC you maintain one-to-one contact with a dedicated
Academic Advisor.
IGC Programmes
The IGC is continually upgrading its existing programs and adding new ones based on demand. At this
stage there are three options catered for, namely:
• A ‘Blended Honours’ package - for previous SAE degree students
• A Master of Arts in Creative Media Practice - for students with a related undergraduate qualification
• A Master of Arts in Recording Arts - for students with an unrelated undergraduate qualification
IGC Scholarships
Every year the IGC makes available a number of scholarships which can lead to significant fee
reductions. For further information on scholarships, please see the IGC web site.
Application Process
Because the IGC is an online learning facility, the application process starts with the enquiry which you
make via our web site. You are not committed to a course when you make an enquiry but you will be provided with a reference number and login details for restricted areas of the website.
Further Information and Enquiries
For further, up-to-date information and to make an enquiry, please visit the main IGC website. You can
also email us at: saegraduatecollege@sae.edu.
For feedback on your eligibility to study an IGC programme, you should follow the MAKE AN ENQUIRY links that are located on the website. They can be found on the home page and under each of the programme descriptors. Making an online enquiry will provide you with a quick indication of whether or not the programme you have selected is right for you. If it is not, IGC staff will advise you regarding possible alternatives.
