SAE Screening Night: a new era in British film-making starts here!
SAE's recent Screening Night highlighted four of the best new film-makers to graduate from its award-winning film-making and animation courses. Future BAFTA and Oscar winners: form an orderly queue here!
SAE's Screening Nights have already garnered a reputation as a showcase for up and coming talent that simply must be seen to be believed. SAE's fourth Screening Night recently took place in London and was a memorable night for all concerned.
Four of the course's premiere film makers had the chance to showcase their work to an eager audience. Each of their films demonstrated just how far the students had come during their studies with some cutting edge digital effects on display, great story-lines and some mesmerising ideas all transferred seamlessly to the big screen.
The four films included Umbrae, a remarkable film about deception and memory loss; Sophie Defender, a dark film with a twist; Blood Money, in which a game of pool becomes a pool of blood; and Hold Me, in which a gangster attempts to turn his back on crime.
Overall, the night offered a unique window into the future of British film making and a positive outlook for the creative industry as a whole. The future of the UK film industry looks very bright indeed!
