SAE Sponsors Best Digital Short Award at 14th Annual Raindance Film Festival



4.9.2006 – London, UK – SAE Institute is sponsoring the Best Digital Short Award at the 14th Annual Raindance Film Festival which takes place in London from the 27th of September to the 8th of October.

The Raindance Film Festival is in its 14th year and again proves to be an exciting industry event with 80 of the best independent feature films and 150 short films. The festival will also be host to a Q & A with film producers and actors, industry panel seminars, Stanley Kubrick screenings and networking opportunites. The Jury for this year’s event includes Lou Reed, Dame Judi Dench, Marky Ramone and Kevin Macdonald to name a few.

SAE, as part of its commitment to the digital film industry has joined the Raindance Film Festival to recognize those filmmakers who are using digital media to produce short films. ‘We feel that digital film making is the future of this industry and therefore would like to recognize those who are embracing the technology and using it creatively in their films’, comments SAE London Manager Matthias Postel.

SAE offers courses in Digital Film Making at two of its UK campuses and elsewhere around the world. The courses are based on the latest technology in digital film such as green screens, HD cameras, Editing and Compositing software and visual effects lighting technology. SAE offers both a diploma and a degree course with degree programmes validated by Middlesex University.
