of Universal Audio plug-ins worldwide —

NEW YORK, NY, March 27, 2006 — Pro audio and multimedia education pioneer SAE Institute has announced an educational partnership and trademark licensing agreement between AMS-Neve and Universal Audio, a leading manufacturer of hardware and software signal processing technology products for pro audio. As part of this new alliance, Universal Audio will outfit SAE stations worldwide with UAD-1 cards and UA’s full suite of plug-ins, including the forthcoming emulations of classic AMS-Neve signal processors. In addition, Universal Audio will provide SAE with TDM plug-ins for all their compatible audio workstations worldwide.

While students enrolled in SAE’s Audio Technology Program have been using mic pres, compressors, and software plug-ins from Universal Audio for years, as well as both classic and cutting-edge consoles and outboard gear from Neve, the new partnership will offer further opportunities for in-depth studies in modeling and plug-in technology. Furthermore, the development of Neve licensed plug-ins will serve to keep students educated in the most up-to-date technologies in analog/digital convergence, while utilizing the same professional quality gear used in top recording sessions.

Tom Misner, SAE Founder, CEO and President, stated, “Here is yet another way that the SAE Institute global network has furthered the quality of student facilities and curriculum, as well as continued to innovate pro audio industry standards. Universal Audio has been a top name in our industry since its inception, and we feel that their co-production of Neve licensed plug-ins is a perfect match to ensure the highest quality audio and production standards vital for learning in a proper studio environment.” Misner concluded, “The implementation of these products into our campuses around the world underscores our commitment to providing an educational experience that surpasses anything else available to our next generation of engineer and producer alumni.”
