SAE Film Making Senior Lecturer, David Hawkins, to Release No-Budget Feature Film
27th October 2011
Bound by Blue is the début feature film from SAE Film Making Senior Lecturer, David Hawkins, and fellow Australian Filmmaker, Kate Talbot.
Following a simple philosophy of making the most of all available resources to create a high-end production with no actual budget, they embarked on a somewhat unconventional production process. The film tells a rather unique Australian narrative, which creates the bang and sizzle of funded film through the utilisation of 30 locations, 50 key cast, 100 extras and upward of 50 volunteer industry-professionals working across 4 & 1/2 months of filming. All highlighted by the stunning backdrop of the Melbourne skyline.
Bound by Blue is due for release in early 2012. For updates, sneak previews, and insider goss be sure to "Like" the Bound by Blue page here.
